On my mind...

The new year has been great so far! Been enjoying my new P1 class this year. They are much better behaved; most are lovely; and they are a brighter lot. My mother commented few days back, "How come this class doesn't have funny stories?". It's true. With my ADHD *H last year, life in class was really one-of-a-kind. This year, most are normal, apart from my little Asperger's Syndrome *C, who is lovely even with his little quirks.

First Picture of the Year!

Learning Maths through games!

I realized I have become the teacher that is so proud of her class, that I would try to take photos and video memorable moments in class. Perhaps like a proud mummy who wants to capture and chronicle their growth. It was especially wonderful to see some of them EXTREMELY HAPPY after a dip into my mystery bag. The glint in their eyes was priceless. And they treat my little inexpensive gifts like precious diamonds too. No wonder parents love buying toys for their kids.

The months would surely fly past again, and I just realized I'm 26 this year. Somehow, it feels much much older compared to 25. Perhaps cos when you wanna round up/down the number to the nearest tens, it is 30, and not 20 anymore.

Today, I saw someone that I never expected to see again. It was such a coincidence, yet a great waste that we didn't get to say hi. =(

The Spiritual Journey

The dangerous season in the spiritual journey is neither the mountain peak nor the valley. It is the plateau - Apathy. Indifference. Comfort zone.

And it scares me so...

I love my job!

It's been 3 days of school, and I'm enjoying every bit of it so far. This year is very relaxing compared to last year's mad rush. I guess that's why EXPERIENCE makes all the difference. I am able to enjoy the process, and no sweat man.. everything is slow and steady.

I think I am addicted to the P1s. They are so cute! haha.. I shall take their photos one day and show you. One of my boys look like a little chipmunk - feel like squishing him! =) I am very glad that this year's class is better behaved than last year's.. Definitely makes me feel like Queen of the class... muahaha.. I feel like a super control freak right now, but it is necessary for this little ones to learn the rules from the start.

So I can't wait to see them tomorrow again! It's funny how I don't go goo-goo-ga-ga over kids in general, but when I start to teach them and interact with them, they make me fall in love with them.. *dreamy smilez* I really missed my last year's kids.. They are P2 now.. Seeing them in the canteen, hearing them scream my name, and flashing their brightest smiles - all these simply makes my heart melt... =)
