Home Sweet Home!

haha.. i'm finally back after 3 wks of China. and this time, i can honestly say, "it's good to be home".. Nothing beats being home lah - family, friends, and food. And if there's anything I really miss, it's time with Abba Daddy. It's so ironic, on a mission trip and you miss spending time with God? Yes, that I realized. No personal and solitude time with Him, cos either doing ministry work, or constantly with people. I could just feel my insides dying as the days pass, and I wondered how come my spiritual stamina is so pathetic... (Or is one even supposed to have spiritual stamina?) It's reallie good to be home now.. =)

I'm thankful for the things God has done in this trip, from the finest details to the biggest plans.. Thanks for praying.. =) In this trip, I have done many things I have never done before, but I didn't feel stretched lah. In fact, I didn't have time to 'feel' anything.. But oh well, I guess this trip is simple obedience, and just doing whatever God wants us to do. I've seen how I've grown compared to the previous Hatyai trip, from depending more on God, being sure of what I'm preaching, seeking acceptance only from Him, and to just do whatever I am instructed to do, even if it's last minute. No time for fear or worries, it's just "Just Do It", because really, it ain't about me, it's about Him.

Re-orientation needs to be done. My room looks foreign, I forgot how to use the computer, and sms-ing becomes a chore. (It was therapeutic to be free from technology for 3 wks. Pure bliss.) Now that I'm home, it's time to pick up what I left behind. 3 weeks away seems adequate enough for me to step back and re-align thoughts and emotions. I just dun know what is ahead. In these 3 weeks, I received 2 bombshell news, at least to me. and while I'm a little blown away, I know, You are sovereign.

Yao Ming and I. Talk about finding a TALL guy. haha.

Farewell!

The day has finally reached, and I’m flying off tonight.. 1255am to be exact. but well, it's still 'tonight' yeah? Reality hasn't really sunk in yet, and I found myself having to fly over to EA not knowing what to expect.. Well, maybe as like in retreat, not my agenda, but Yours.

3 weeks of Chinese (pple and language) , 3 weeks of working with God, 3 weeks of fellowship with the team, 3 weeks of leaving everything behind. Will be gone 8th – 28th July, and I decided not to bring my hp, so pls do not call/sms me. dun see the pt of brining hp.. it'll be a gd break from technology lah. =) if u really need to send your love over, u can msg rachoo. haha.. =)

In thinking of what to say on this farewell entry, I wrote a whole lot of stuff abt not missing people. And then, I realized, it all boils down to my definition of wat 'miss' is. What exactly is 'missing people'? Always felt that these words "I miss you" are overused, as with "I love you". but well well well, I call for much intensity. If I do not miss you intensly, then I would declare that I do not miss you.. I never understood how people can always lavish words of "I miss you so much", yet it was so hard for me to reply "Yes, I missed you too!", that I just end up merely smiling.

Honestly, I dunno if I will miss you guys. I wld love to say that, but from past evaluations, I hardly missed my family, and frens. Perhaps this time wld be different, sicne it’s my longest trip away from home. ok, I will miss (at the slightest hint of it) :

my cell kids.. argh.. it was such heartache to announce that i'll be away for the whole month of July. All the hugs and the "i'll miss you". As I hugged them, I was thinking through of any possible solutions that I could take so that I would not be separated from them. Well, only one solution = don't go EA anymore. sighs. I know that's not feasible, but they are enough to make me wanna stay. *bleah*

Home.. Honestly, I reallie dunno if i'll miss my family.. of cos a bit lah, but I was just thinking abt my leaving adn all.. It's not a big hoo-haa anymore - gg to the airport and stuff. My parents have gotten used to the "I'm going for another mission trip..", and i guess they have kinda accepted it lah. so it boils down to "when are you leaving and coming back? ok.." and talking about family, i remember all the previous mission trips, where everybody was calling home, but I don't see the need to, until I was 'forced' to. but seriously, what do you say during that few minutes that leaves you unable to say anything really much bcoz it's too expensive? "hi! everything is good here! bye!"? oh well, so for now the SOP is "If i dun call home / if you dun hear anything, means I'm safe and sound.. =) ". and i just realized how mortifying that can actually sound to my parents.. Imagine having to receive phonecalls only to hear bad news like "er.. your daughter is caught by the PSB in EA."

Friends.. I'll miss some of you, the ones dearest to my heart. =) Especially those whom we often hang out or chat on MSN, and those who pour their love so abundantly. To the rest, it reallie doesn't make a difference if I'm in Singapore or EA, but ok, maybe I'll miss all of you too. hah. I guess it is more reassuring to have rachoo and hann on the team - gd frens that I look to for support and company. How cool is it if one day, the whole gang of us go together for a mission trip? Power packed man! hehe.. eh, start planning leh! *winks*

ok, enough of all the stuffs.. Here's what's most impt : Pray with us, will you? The usual : As the spirit leads. =)

Hope to share what God has done in the trip when I’m back.. unless I decided to stay there for good. Haha..

So long, farewell.
