An-nyung-ha-se-yo!
I loved Korea, totally. It was a fantastic trip filled with fun and rest. Enjoyed the cold weather, the scenery, the places of interest, the culture, the language, the food, and the people. I felt so at home at Korea man, mainly because I look like a Korean girl. It must be my homeland.. haha.. It's day 2 after being back from Korea, and the 2nd day of missing korea. Withdrawal symptoms, I think.. It doesn't help that I take out some kimchi to eat with every meal. =)
Oh, and did I mention that we experienced snow the first 2 days we touched down? We were really blessed! The tour guide said that Korea hasnt' seen that much snow for many years! In this trip, we see how the timing was just right for everything, and it was even made more perfect that we had extra legroom on the plane back.. Thank you Lord!
Some photos here. Too many, and too lei chei to upload. Check out facebook for more, and of course, all these are the censored ones. The most interesting ones are left for our private viewing, right Soowei? *winks*

Snow Fall

Skiing was so fun! I would definetely pick it up if I stayed in Korea. =)

1500m above sea level - thick snow and strong wind that nearly froze us to death. Still, we managed to smile. =)

Teddy Bear Museum

Yummylicious! Don't you feel like eating it too?

Korean Ladies

My honeydew ice-cream, which I buried in the snow (it works better than the freezer) while I took a photo with Bae Yong Joon!
Retreat
Just came back from Leaders' Retreat @ St John's Island yesterday, and I enjoyed it. It was truly a good time of resting and renewing my passion for the ministry. We did some things that I haven't done for a long while.. Things like roughing it out in a not-so-clean place. Or joining the younger leaders to play treasure hunt in the rain. Or eating sandwiches and baked beans for lunch. Doing all these things reminded me of the good old days and how fun it was. The challenge for me was to adapt quickly and throw off the mindset of "i'm too old for this!" and "i dont' have the energy like the youth anymore". With that, I am so glad that I did all that I could, despite aching muscles now. One of the greatest reward I got out of the retreat was enjoying the presence of people again, and re-discovering a love for the youth. God is amazing to grant me that while walking with them around the island in the cold rain. brrr...
One realization that hit me was: I am truly old already. Old not only in terms of age, but in terms of my role in ministry. No longer am I being looked after, but I have to look after the others. No longer do I expect to be prayed for, but to pray for others. Pron asked me if I ever sat down and wonder how did I ever grow from a pew-warmer to a RL now. It was a good reminder of God's grace in my life, and how he never fails me through every season.
So looking forward to Rhema now. Think it's gonna be awesome!
What a Bummer!
And so, the school holiday has officially started for me with my hopefully last visit to sch on Tuesday. I have made a long list of things to do for the holidays, but alas, nothing has been done yet. Before I could start celebrating or relaxing, my stomach had to get some flu and there I was, vomitng and feeling weak on Wednesday. The only consolation is that I lose some fats as I fast from breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
Today is a day of just rest, rest, and more rest. I sleep as if I have not slept for a year. Still, I am thankful that the bug come now, and not later. These 2 days are the best days to rest, before the flurry of activities start!
I can't wait for leaders' retreat! - to get to know some young ones and play games again.. woohoo!
I can't wait for rhema conference! - to encounter God in a special way, and to reminisce the familiarity of rhema once again..
I can't wait for Korea! - how long have we been gushing over this, soowei? FINALLY!
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
