Nostalgia

Chan, J.S., Elliot, J.M. (2000). Professional and Public Perceptions of Physical Child Abuse and Neglect in Singapore. Singapore: Singapore Children's Society.

It's been so long since I came in touch with academic papers. Sam asked me today about writing a Social work paper, which happens to be exactly the same topic as my ISM. Suddenly, all the memories of NUS came flooding back. ISM, mid-term tests, experiments, dialogues with professors, 10, 000 word essays, APA format, literature review, shopping at Co-op, studying at central library and YIH study room, bazaars, eating yong tao fu at Arts canteen, and Indonesian Panggang Chicken at Engine canteen. I suddenly miss NUS very much... How did I get through Uni that fast?

As I looked through my final year paper, it feels almost foreign. Those words couldnt' possibly be my very own right? Such a professional formal language, with perfect APA bibligraphy. How did I manage to produce such a piece of work? Today, I'm thankful for the wonderful 4 years that flew past, and I wish I can relive it again. sighs.

Back to reality.. At the end of school today, I got such a beautiful gift that made me smile. There were 2 rainbows in the sky, one so pronounced with the 7 colours that my 2megapixel camera could even capture it. It certainly did make me smile from the inside out. "Wow, another of God's wonderful creation!"

Looking forward to June hols too.. Phuket, here we come! =)

*listen to my favourite song currently - of course it's korean! I want to become a Korean! kekekke.*

Seeking the Inner Peace

I don't know why I'm becoming like that. It's awful.

That feeling of a great week..

You know that feeling of a great week?

When Monday and Tuesday does not leave you zonked out after work, but still smiling with energy.
When you're able to use your voice without sounding hoarse..
When all outstanding work on the table is cleared, leaving you feeling in control and on pace..
When your mum who's been sick for more than a month has gone through 3 days without pain.
When there are so many instances of little ones doing things that warm your heart.. especially when they greet you with bright smiles and cheerful waves along the corridor.

It has been a great week. =) One does not need to be in love to feel this contented.
